We take the confusion out of the TTB approval process for your beverage.
Big Brands has been developing and producing alcohol products for clients and partners for over 20 years. We provide legal and consulting services through our in-house legal department. With our TTB Services, we have successfully obtained application approvals for a variety of beverage industry clients and partners in the spirits, wine, and beer categories, including additional permits and licenses required to support the spirits, wine, and beer manufacturing licenses, and both on the federal (TTB) level and the state level.
The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) protects the public and enforced the provisions of the Federal Alcohol Administration Act. It ensures that only qualified people engage in drinking alcohol. The TTB is in charge of enforcing the laws regulating alcohol production, importation and wholesaling of alcohol, and alcohol labeling, manufacturing and advertising.
The TTB must evaluate the ingredients and additives of certain beverages in the malt, wines, and distilled spirits category. The TTB beverage formula review process can be a bit lengthy and complex. Failing to obtain TTB beverage formula and beverage label approval when required can result in significant delays in the manufacturing and distribution of your alcoholic beverage.
All Alcoholic Beverages require TTB approval for the beverage formula to be manufactured. For non-alcoholic beverages, defined as beverages with less than 0.50 ABV, like mocktails, does not need TTB approval. However, non-alcoholic beers need to have their beer formula and beer label approved by the TTB.
Big Brands is extremely familiar with the TTB approval process. We have brought numerous alcoholic beverages to market by following the TTB guidelines to ensure that our clients product does not get caught in the approval loop. Put our experience to work for you and your alcoholic beverage.
One of the steps in gaining approval for your alcoholic beverage to hit the market is an approved label by the TTB. Depending on your time frame you can file for normal or expedited review. Prior to submitting your label to the TTB, our team will take the time to thoroughly review your label and examine each aspect. We will alert you about the need to fix the label if we come across anything that would likely kick back your submission or create an unnecessary delay.
All products need labels. Whether it is a label for a nutritional supplement, non-alcoholic beverage or CBD product they all must follow the FDA Guidelines. We will work with you to create a beverage label that checks off all of the requirements of the TTB to ensure a quick approval process that avoids delay in production or fulfillment of your product. Partnering with an experienced firm like Big Brands for your label and packaging needs is critical. Ready to get started?
